My good friend, Weight Loss Wagon, and I go way back! I would venture to share that he and I have a love hate relationship. I love the weight loss wagon… I hate the weight loss wagon.
I have fallen off that blasted wagon HARD multiple times in my young 30 years of life.
I have run fast to chase the wagon to jump back ON multiple times in my young 30 years of life.
That wagon and I are a team. We go together like peas and carrots…. or chocolate and peanut butter.
Yum!
Weight Wait, now where was I?
Yes, I am back on the fitness and healthy lifestyle wagon. I have had enough time to reflect and do my own thing (knowing full well that it wasn’t working). This past week, I have decided to jump ship (couch) and chase after that wagon.
Doing my own thing: eating what I want, being lazy, NOT running, and just refusing help was not working. It is back to basics for me: Calories IN-Calories OUT. I am not going to focus solely on the scale to document my journey, but more on how my clothes are fitting, how my running/fitness improves, as well as my mood. I am going to take time out of my MOMMY-filled day… and take care of ME!
I am motivated. I am dedicated. I am on that wagon!
This past week, I rolled off my couch and my Oreo induced coma and hit the pavement. It was glorious! I loved every step.
This coming week, I am participating in the first week of the Cupcake Marathon. I know that I can get the mileage (run 26.2 miles in two weeks). My biggest hurdle will be balancing MOM life (finding the best time to run with my three boys home), the weather (the 10 day forecast is full of rain and wind), and busy activities.
I am motivated. I am dedicated. I am on that wagon!
I have also partnered up with a few online friends to help motivate, encourage, and help hold each other accountable while on this journey. I know that this friendship and friendly competition will help keep me on my wagon.
I can do this! I will do this!
I am doing this.

Congratulations for getting off that couch and away from them cookies. Remember those are cryptonite. 🙂 (hope that’s how it is spelled) I have tried losing weight once or twice before but never the way I’m doing it now, it is with a whole new determination that I’ve never had. Hopefully you stay off that couch and keep on moving. You can do that running! I’ve got a long ways to go before I run but I’ll be rooting for you. 🙂
