Adventure is always awaiting for my three little boys. They love dressing up as superheroes, astronauts, pirates, and more.
My oldest loves Super Hero Squad and repeatedly shares that he wants to be a Scientist just like the Incredible Hulk.
While coloring in one of his super hero coloring books, we found a Green Goop recipe. We decided to spend a rainy afternoon being mad scientists in the kitchen… with the off chance that we might actually turn into little Hulks and She-Hulk.
Adventure Awaits…
Green Goop Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups salt
2/3 cup water
1 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup cold water
Directions:
Mix 2 cups salt and 2/3 cup water; heat for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and quickly add mixture of 1 cup cornstarch and 1/2 cup cold water. Stir quickly. Return to heat if too “goopy”. Add green food coloring.
This end result of this recipe was not what I would consider goop. It felt like salty play- doh. It was sticky to the touch, and the boys enjoyed getting their hands dirty and goopy.
Yet, The mad scientist in us was not satisfied. We desired for more goop, more mess!
I searched the web and found another green SLIME – GOOP recipe that was much more fun to play with.
Green SUPER SLIME GOOP RECIPE
This was SUPER SIMPLE to make and was found at Kid Activities:
Equal parts Corn Starch and Water (plus food coloring)
Of course, my precious Pig-Pen Peyton was the messiest of them all. He was the first to spill the toxic GREEN GOO on himself…
Resulting in a chain reaction of us ALL turning into mini-Hulk’s and Mommy Hulk!
What adventure awaits you ?
