I love my tike tech jogger! My double jogger and I have spent many miles together. I have used it almost daily for the past three years.
Three years, many miles, two new sets of tires… and yet it has always pulled to the right.
I purchased my Tike Tech double jogger shortly after the birth of my second son. I used it daily for mostly power walking, with the occasional burst of energy called running. It wasn’t until last summer when I really began running (while pushing 2 children) with the jogger. I was training for my third half marathon, and running with children was my only option.
Shortly after beginning the distance training last summer, I pulled a muscle in my back. I passed out from the intense pain. Crazy enough, this summer when I resumed training for my fourth half marathon, the back/shoulder pain happened again. Coincidentally, this all happened when I was committed to running and training for my distance races – while using my jogger
I had NEVER had any back or shoulder pain before. I finally decided to visit a chiropractor. He deemed that it was from the constant (strong) pull to the right of my jogger, that made me strain to keep the jogger in alignment (on the road). Thus, straining my back/shoulder… sidelining me from my training.
Back and shoulder pain from my jogging stroller that pulls to the right… constantly. I never put the two items together, until now.
I took my jogger to get checked by a bike technician, hoping that it would be an easy fix. Thinking that perhaps it was just my tires that needed fixing. However, that was not the case.
The photos below show that my double jogger is misaligned, thus forcing the jogger to pull hard to the right.
I contacted Tike Tech through twitter and their customer service rep. Happily, I got a relatively quick reply. Thankfully, my jogger frame is covered under warranty!!
Yay!
However, I am supposed to mail it back to CANADA, eh?
Boo!
I have been instructed to find a box big enough to put my 50+ lb jogger in, then mail it to Canada at my expense. Then they will repair my jogger’s alignment issue and have the jogger for 3-4 weeks. They will then ship me my jogger at their cost.
This Mommy to three little’s doesn’t have the TIME nor the MONEY to scout around to make this happen.
Mama aint happy.
I am putting the pieces together… back pain + jogger that pulls to the right = back/shoulder pain on the right side = chiropractic visits and bills = limited to no running/training due to back pain = no running OR EVEN WALKING while using the jogger = sad Mommy.

Yikes!! That’s horrible! All that pain from a jogger you bought NEW!! They should def pay for you to ship it. Sorry you have to deal with all this! I would try to contact someone up higher and let them know the pain in your back it’s caused you.

So, did you get the stroller replaced? I’m currently in this same situation. My double stroller pulls to the left hard enough that it can round a corner on it’s own if I let it. My shoulder is killing me and I have a race in 3 weeks. Boo! Trying to decide between fixing it, or spending the $$ to take my chances with a new one.

Thanks for sharing this! I’d never thought a misalignment in your jogging stroller could cause so much issues down the road!
I’d love to find out what happened!
Cheers,
Evelyn
