If you are familiar with me and my journey/story, it comes as no surprise when I say that I struggle with nutrition. I love a good sweaty fitness session just as much as I love a gooey chocolate chip cookie. However, the past few weeks I have decided to make a brain shift. Each week I have chosen to focus on a new healthy change. Each change I have focused on, lately, focuses on nutrition.
I know that I need to work on nutrition and viewing food as fuel for my body. This year, so far, I have made these healthy changes: eating breakfast, increase water, take a multivitamin and now eat more beans/fiber.
I am very familiar with the quote, “You cannot out train poor nutrition.” I have been trying for years to prove that statement wrong. Unfortunately it is just not possible to get the fitness (and weight loss) success you desire when nutrition is not up to par.
Vega Sport was super nice to send me their plant-based sport performance system that is completely all-natural and designed to help the consumer perform their best – before, during and after training.
For those who believe sick, obsessed and crazy are terms of enderement… because yours is not a discount body.
The Vega Sport performance system is 100% plant-based, free from dairy, gluten and soy, and contains no artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners.
There is so much information about their products on their website. I could list all the principles of Vega, their many health benefits, and more! I personally love that they focus more on nutrient density rather than calories.
Vega shares that once the body is supplied with the nourishment it needs, cravings will cease. Consuming nutrient dense whole foods is a healthy way to naturally reduce caloric intake resulting in the creation of a stronger, leaner body. Vega is very nutrient dense, yet low in calories.
I am all for fewer cravings, low calories and a stronger leaner body! But does it taste good, you ask!?
Yes! As you can tell from the above picture, my 2 year old is greedily eyeing my post run bar. My favorites are the protein bars and recovery drinks! The texture and flavor is yummy and easy to enjoy!
Have you tried Vega Sport yet?
What is your go to source for fueling up after a good fitness session?

I haven’t tried vega sport yet! I’m glad to know that it tastes good…that is always something that I’m worried about when it comes to stuff like this!

Love the look of that bar! What flavor is it?
I usually make my own protein bars (I’m loving Jamie Eason’s pumpkin oatmeal protein bar right now), but am always on the lookout for new brands to stick in my gym bag!

Ooh looks interesting! No, I have not tried Vega products, but I’m becoming quite interested, because I’m a vegetarian-turning-mostly-vegan. Thanks for the review!
