This week I am focused on protein and finding fun ways to increase my protein each day. Yesterday I shared my new love of the Odwalla Protein Bars. Today, I want to reintroduce you to my love of all Vega Sport products.
Compared to the 12grams of protein that the Odwalla bars have, Vega Sport Protein bars boast a powerful punch with a whopping 15 grams of complete, plant-based protein. This bar is formulated to strengthen and regenerate muscles after an intense workout!
My personal favorite is the chocolate coconut protein bar (and I am not usually a coconut fan). Their other flavor is chocolate saviseed which is equally tasty! I mean, how can you go wrong with a chocolate bar that is packed full of gluten free nutrients and protein!? Yummy!
Vega Sport also makes Performance Protein and Recovery drinks that are a complete multi-source of vitamins. I want to share that they are delicious and not chalky like other protein drinks I have tried in the past.
I have always known that protein is good… and even a glass of chocolate milk after a workout is beneficial. Here are some super cool facts that I have recently learned about consuming protein after an intense workout:
~ Improve strength and exercise performance
~ Repair and build muscles
~ Reduce recovery time between training
I have also learned that when I consume an adequate amount of protein it keeps me full. Double bonus… fullness effect and health benefits!
What is your favorite protein bar or drink?
Disclosure: I am not affiliated with Vega Sport. I honestly like their products and want to share with you their awesomeness.

I think it is important to stick to a balanced diet, as recommended by the World Health Organisation and The Food Standards Agency. There are five main food groups and they are all important for good health

I totally agree with you. Each week I am focusing on adding ONE new healthy change. That particular week was making sure I was getting enough protein. Weeks previous were water, fibre, healthy well balanced breakfast etc. This current week is focusing on whole balanced meals throughout my day.
