This week I am focusing on ways to increase my protein. Each afternoon (when my children should be napping) I become sluggish and run down. I usually run straight for the cookie jar in the pantry to get the sugar fix. Thankfully, I no longer do that for fear of retribution from friends who are keeping me accountable viewing my food journal.
My good friend, Amanda, told me that I had to try Odwalla Chocolate Peanut butter Protein Bars. She knows I love peanut butter and chocolate. I must admit, I was skeptical at first… but have fallen head over heels for this protein bar!
With a whopping 12 grams of protein and only 200 calories… I can enjoy a tasty mid afternoon CHOCOLATE snack while recharging with nutrients such as folate, calcium, and Vitamins A, C & E!
For full disclosure, I buy my bars with my husbands hard earned money at our local grocer. My opinions stated above are my own and I will continue to shout from the roof tops for tasty chocolate treats that are healthy and nutritious!

I bought several of those for my hubby for his Christmas stocking. Of course I had to try one. I liked them, but man they are rich. I can only eat about half of one at a time. But I love the ingredients.

I used to eat Odwalla bars all the time, but then switched to Lara and Luna bars…I may have to get my hands on this one though. Looks delicious!
