As a parent we model to our children what we value as important. In our family we recycle. Taking care of what God has provided to us, this earth, is important to me. I enjoy teaching my children the value of recycling and reusing items to reduce waste.
I have shared a few times on my blog that I often multitask my morning walks and pick up recyclables along the path. My children love shouting out and spotting recyclables for Mommy to pick up.
My love of recycling and reusing items does not mean I like clutter. In fact, I like to have everything in it proper place of order. I do not like having my recyclables cluttering up my already small kitchen counter. Thank goodness Rubbermaid has come to my rescue by coming up with their hidden recycler!
The hidden recycler gets recyclables off the counter and hidden out of sight. There is an attachment to the trashcan that hooks on to a cabinet door. The convenient handle allows the bag to easily be transported to wherever your recycling is stored. The 5 gallon bag has a leak-proof liner and is machine washable… which is fantastic to reduce to stink from unexpected spills. And to keep with the earth friendly vibe, the recycler bag itself is made from recyclable material and is recyclable.
I have been using the hidden recycler for a few weeks now, and I love that I have a clutter free kitchen counter (free from recyclables at least). I also really like how it has cut down on my trips outside to where I store our recyclables (especially since it has been raining/hailing nonstop the past few days).
If you recycle and are tired of the kitchen clutter, I would love for you to enter to win your own hidden recycler from Rubbermaid! This giveaway is open to U.S. and Canada!

This looks like a great way to organize items to recycle. We recycle to cut down on the items in the dump.

Recycling is just so second nature for me now. I mean, who doesn’t recycle?? And if you don’t, why not?? It’s so easy and so much better for the environment! I also try to reuse as much as I can

We recycle because it is the right thing to do – it keeps the earth in better shape for those to come.

I so want this…we just moved to the country and recycling has gotten much harder. I have to drive me and my kids 30mins to recycle and can’t afford to do that often! This would help me at least get the recyclables to the barn!
