I know that I am battling a wicked head cold the past few day, but that is no excuse for me to give up on my health and fitness goals. There are set backs. There are struggles. This is true for everything in life.
Fist, we dream a goal. Then we must set a plan and put that plan in motion. We will struggle with that plan. But unless we persevere with that plan and stay committed we will never reap the reward.
Many, many people quit during the struggle, never knowing how close they were to victory. The only way you will fail is if you quit. Never! Never! Never Quit!
My dream, my plan, my goal is not complete. I do not know how close I am to achieving my goals in life. But what I do know is that I need to keep pressing forward and fighting the good fight.
Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you confessed the good confession in the sight of many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:12 WEB)

The next time I feel like quitting, I will definitely envision a cave full of diamonds waiting for me on the other side! Great concept here… when I think of quitting, I try to focus on all the work and preparation I did to get to where I am… to be proud of it, but also for that kick in the butt that you don’t want to have wasted all that effort just to back down and say something is too hard. Keep on going! Always!

So many things help me stay on track. My hubby who is very supportive, my granddaughter who is almost 10 months keep me motivated to keep working on my my goals towards a healthier lifestyle. I also have online friends and fitness groups that hold me accountable which helps me a lot.

Good question! I think when I start cranking on my family it’s time to go for a run. As I get older, it only takes two missed runs for me to get cranky 🙂

this is a great timed post for me, I need to dive back into my to do list! I try to stay motivated by telling my husband my goals and asking him to remind me 🙂

I know all too well the dreaded to do list … that always seems to get LONGER instead of shorter. 😉
