For many of us, this time of year brings cooler temperatures. The winter weather typically brings cooler wet weather for most. I know in northern California, this is our rainy season. The temperatures are relatively cool (for us) and very wet and dreary.
The cooler wet weather makes it a challenge to get out and enjoy the outdoors. Heck, there are a few of us crazy running folk who even run many miles in the crazy wicked weather like I did this past weekend at CIM.
One of my must have running accessories (on long runs) is lip balm. I hate when my lips are dry. When I am a few miles into my run and the brisk air starts to dry out my lips, I reach for my Aquaphor Lip Repair + Protect SPF 30 from my water bottle’s pouch. This really helps ease my dry mouth discomfort. Heck, even in a pinch on a long run… you can use this as an impromptu chafe preventer/soother. Not that I would know about that! *wink*
The dry air can really do a number on our skin. I have used the Aquaphor Healing Ointment on myself and my children. My youngest son suffers from mild eczema. When I notice a dry patch, I rub a bit of healing ointment on him and he is healed the next morning. For me, if I failed to rub my 2Toms on liberally before a race or long run and suffer from chaffing, the Aquaphor Healing Ointment really does help ease discomfort and helps restore smooth, healthy skin.
With all the fun you’re having – whether on a run, bike ride or ski trip – it’s easy to forget about the unpleasant effects that winter weather can have on your skin, such as dryness, irritation and windburns. Luckily, Aquaphor has the perfect set of products that are easy to carry with you and will help protect your skin this season!
I am partnering with Aquaphor and I received a winter protection in style package that included a healing ointment, lip repair, convertible mittens and a $50 giftcard. I am excited to share that I am able to help ONE LUCKY READER have Winter Protection In Style with Aquaphor.
Love Aquaphor and can’t wait to find out if you are the winner!? Check out their facebook page for a coupon on their products.

I MUST use moisturizer! I shower at night so always put some on before I go to bed, but then also when I wake up. It does have a built-in sunscreen so between that and my bare minerals makeup, I feel like my face is protected!

Winter is SO harsh on my skin, especially my lips.
