Tackling the never-ending task of laundry is a chore. Between my fitness workouts and my boys who go through at least three outfits a day, my laundry bins are always over flowing. It seems that I am always tackling the ever growing Mt. Laundry.
Come to think of it, I miss the warmer temperatures of summer where my kids would run around in their skivvies or swim trunks. Laundry was a minimal task. I was able to line dry their clothes.
It wasn’t as much of a burden for me like in the winter months (jeans, layers of sweat shirts, socks, gloves, jackets, etc). The colder temperatures means more clothing to wear and get dirty. Which means more laundry and clothes for mommy to wash, fold and put away. Laundry is my nemesis.
I do yearn for the warmer summer months when I can line dry my clothes. There is something about the fresh clean smell of line dried sheets. The smell. The crispness. It brings back memories of when I was a girl and my mom hung our sheets up to dry.
I may not always purchase my sheets from Frette.com, a luxury linen and bedding company, but I do love the crispness and smell of line dried linens. They almost remind me of when you visit a nice hotel and their sheets have the nice clean, pressed feel to them.
Oh the sweet luxury of staying at a nice hotel. Fresh luxury (soft) linens and a comfortable bed. I can only imagine the softness of a bed that is similar to my technogel pillow. Oh the sweet luxury of the finer things in life.
Yes. Laundry is my never-ending battle. Keeping up with the task of laundry and cleaning their sheets and clothing is a task that will always need to be completed.
I can so see the appeal of being a nudist. No laundry. Yet, I don’t hate doing laundry that much to convert to the lifestyle of a nudist… with three small boys. Yes. I guess I will still tackle the never-ending and constantly-growing Mt. Laundry.
Do you enjoy doing laundry?
Do you purchase and own luxury linens?

Times have changed. When I was a boy I was lucky if I changed my clothes three times a month. It didn’t even “feel right” until I had worn my jeans for at least a week. Now my kids (and yours) change three times a day. Ugh!

I hate doing laundry. More the folding and putting away part then then the washing and drying. 🙂

Yes! I am a rock star at washing/drying… even folding. However, it is the final step of PUTTING IT AWAY where I slack off. 😉

See I do the folding and putting away at the same time. but clothes can sit in the dryer or a basket for a few days before I do that step lol.

and I think my boys would LOVE to be nudists as they are always running naked. 🙂
