Happy handstand Friday, friends! Another week has passed and it is time to showcase your amazing handstand skills! Have you improved? Are you growing in confidence that your body can hold your body weight? Are you holding the position longer? Are you having fun with your handstands!?
I personally LOVE being upside down and flipping all over the place. Doing a handstand is not something new for me. However, holding the position longer than a few seconds is the new challenge. I am finding that as each week passes, my form gets better…. more solid. I am also able to hold the position a little bit longer each time.
I may not be walking across the basketball court completely on my hands … yet … but I could be there by year end. With practice.
One of the biggest take home lessons I learned from last weekend’s adventure race, Ragnar Relay, was that I am so much stronger than my brain thinks I am. I am able to go and do things that my mind says I can not… but my body is able.
You are stronger than you think!
I encourage you to challenge your body and do a handstand. Have fun with it!

I remember spending hours outside as a kid perfecting my handstands – I wonder what my neighbors will think if I’m outside practicing them now hehe! Oh well, who cares! 😀
