Finding time to fit in quality time together as a family is always challenging. Adding to that the importance of fitting in fitness you have a double whammy of a scheduling conflict. That is unless you combine family FUN with FITNESS! Family fitness is what the boys and I love to do… we do fitness together… as a family.
A few weeks ago my double jogger’s frame cracked in half (no kidding!). I was without a jogger and was only able to run indoors on the treadmill (or solo when Daddy was home). Imagine my surprise (and happiness) when a new BOB Strollers by Britax Revolution SE single jogger appeared on my doorstep!
We were now able to resume our family fun fitness activities: bike, scoot and run! Plus P (5 years old) was getting too big that he was ready to graduate to a exercise-man instead of a stroller rider. T-man was very happy to claim the new Bob Stroller as his own.
As any mom of young children (boys!!) one can attest that we go through shoes like hotcakes! I love and run in Saucony, but when T-man was sent a pair of his very own very fast running shoes he was SUPER excited!
Saucony Kids is designed with Saucony DNA but engineered with Stride Rite know how. The look and feel you love about your Saucony’s, your kids can feel and look the same with what we like to call “kid-rite” design.
The kid-rite design means that all their shoes are specifically designed for the healthy development of a child’s foot vs. just shrinking down the adult version. This allows the shoes to have an ultra-flexible outsole that is durable for little ones who are off and running and appropriate technical elements for older kids who maybe already be running faster than you.
I have been running in the Saucony brand the past few months. I have been fortunate that I have been able to run in the Virrata, Kinvara 4, and now the Ride 6. Each of these shoes offer different stability and support, yet have quickly become my new favorite running shoes.
The newest shoe I have been running in, the Ride 6, has more support, cushion, and support. I have enjoyed testing these shoes out on runs on the trail, with the boys, treadmill runs and most recently my solo 8 miler. They are light weight and UBER comfortable.
This Mommy loves to run. This mommy needs to run. For the health and safety (sanity) of those she loves… running is necessary. Spending quality time together as a family… doing fitness activities together makes Mommy very happy also. Even if our family activity is a hike or a casual (slow) walk to the park to feed the ducks… we are being active together.
Family + Fun + Fitness = My Happy Place
What fitness activities do you enjoy doing with your family?
Disclosure: I received Saucony shoes and a BOB stroller for review purposes on this post. I was not paid for this post, all opinions about loving the shoes and the stroller are simply my own.

Those little Sauconys are so cute! I admire any one who can run with a stroller — so much harder!

What an amazing thing to review! I have 4 strollers and my jogger gets the most use for sure. Not a BOB but I have heard great things about that one.

I just bought the saucony guide 6 and love them. I was having leg pain with my old shoes and it has completely gone away with those.
