As a FitFluential Ambassador and fitness blogger, I am blessed to receive some amazing products to review and share with you. Last week I was sent a pair of Mizuno Wave Rider 17 shoes to try out and review. I am never one to turn away fitness gear and was super excited to try out the new Mizuno Wave Rider 17 running shoes!
I have never run in Mizuno until just recently. However, many of my running friends swear by this brand of shoe. Because I am nursing my foot, and trying to get as many miles on my racing shoes (for this weekend’s marathon) I haven’t put a lot of miles on my WaveRider17s yet… but I will!
I have been wearing them as my every day go to shoe since receiving them last week. I can honestly say they are by far the most comfortable shoe that I currently own. These WaveRider17’s make my feet very happy!
The shoe is very supportive and has a lot of cushion. Which is a great thing for someone who needs a little support and cushion on her aching foot. Plus the shoe itself is light considering its sturdy build.
I finally ran in them this afternoon. I did a quick speed work session on the treadmill. I was very pleased with how these shoes performed, felt, and treated my foot.
I felt no pain or discomfort while running in these shoes. In fact, I didn’t even feel the ache in the bottom of my foot! It is a blessing that my foot is healing AND these shoes do not hurt or aggravate the aching spot! Winning!
The shoes felt light and had a comfortable transition with each step. I felt springy and light on my feet. I was very pleased with how these shoes (and my feet) ran today.
If I weren’t already planning to wear a different set of shoes for CIM this weekend… I would totally be using these shoes! They are not a minimalist shoe, as they offer more support and stability. However, they are super comfortable and give just enough to the runner to make it a brilliant run… each run!
These bad boys will be available to purchase at your local running store or online December 5th. If you are looking for a new supportive and comfortable running shoe, I encourage you to check out the new Mizuno Wave Rider 17. Feel your run, not your shoes!

I live and die by Mizuno so I’m so happy you are enjoying them! I can’t wait to get my feet in a pair. I’m running my first marathon this weekend so I think they would be a great post race present to myself 🙂

Such a well detailed review! I am loving these shoes! Sometimes companies make unnecessary changes, but in this case Mizuno nailed it.

Rachel says
Ha! I doubt it. I am sure MIZuno loves all the love from MIZfit 😀
I have spent the majority of my time WALKING in these shoes (just given the circumstances of my week and foot). I think they would make a great walking shoe too! 🙂

I converted to Mizuno about a year ago and I’m so happy that I did! After years struggling with plantar fasciitis, in spite of wearing heavy motion control shoes, my feet are finally healthy. I didn’t think that they could make the Wave Rider 16 any better, but I really think they nailed it with the 17.
