Mornings are always a mad rush in our house. Even though we homeschool, there are some mornings when we have activities that require us to be out of the house early. Which is always an adventure… more like wrangling wild cats! This is where BelVita breakfast biscuits and Dannon Oikos greek yogurt have been helpful in making sure we start off our day with a healthy start. Mommy win. Morning win.
My boys love yogurt. I love BelVita breakfast biscuits… because it tastes like a cookie! Yum! These two breakfast options are a delicious quick and convenient breakfast option for those who are needing a healthy breakfast while on the go.
It is easy to find an excuse for skipping breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day. Yet busy schedules, rushed mornings and business can lead to people, myself included, skip this meal.
It seems like my boys wake up starving. In fact, when they saw the Danon Oikos Greek Nonfat yogurt in the fridge, they immediately wanted to eat it. Informing them that I was reviewing it for my blog they obliged while Mommy snapped photos of them scarfing the yogurt down.
Dannon Oikos is made with a traditional Greek straining process that not only provides exceptional taste but also a creamy-thick consistency to satisfy your taste buds. I was shocked to find that my boys did not think there was a difference in taste or texture compared to their non-greek yogurt.
Dannon Oikos is also an excellent source of protein, with a whopping 12g of protein per serving! This is twice the amount of protein compared to regular lowfat yogurt. Dannon Oikos Nonfat yogurt is a great way to begin the day!
My favorite go-to breakfast is the belVita soft baked Breakfast Biscuits. In fact, this is my prerace fuel for the past year. I traded in my traditional poptarts for this as my fuel and I haven’t looked back. The crunchy breakfast biscuits are also yummy and provide excellent flavor, energy (fuel) and crunch to satisfy the morning munchies.
We all know how much I love chocolate chip cookies, so it should be no surprise to find that the Oats & Chocolate is my favorite flavor. I eat one breakfast biscuit and a banana before my long runs and find that I am satisfied and have enough energy to sustain through my workout.

Tips for a Smooth Sane Morning
The biggest tip to have a successful, smooth, sane morning is to do as much as you can the night before. Leave as little preparation as possible until the last minute.
Make your to do, prepare your lunch/snacks, and lay out your workout clothes all before you go to bed.
As always, be sure to start your morning with a delicious, balanced breakfast. This will help prevent the hangry from rearing her ugly head and will get you started on the right foot for the day.

I would have never tried the BV crunchy things before, but my best friend insisted I try them. I am in love with the Blueberry ones, the perfect sweetness to go with my morning coffee! I wish the local Costco sold that flavor instead of the brown sugar :/ I never thought to eat them w/ Greek yogurt, so thanks for the tip!

They are really good! My favorite are the soft belVita biscuits… but the crunchy is great too (and fun to dip in yogurt or coffee) 🙂

I loved my belVita biscuits and Oikos is always a favorite! I tried the cinnamon brown sugar belVita biscuits, and LOVED them! I’d love to try out the blueberry or apple cinnamon too.
