I love running. I love finding fantastic running shoes that compliment my love of running. The past few weeks I have been enjoying my training runs in my new Mizuno Wave Rider 18 shoes. I really do love the improvement Mizuno has made from the Wave Rider 17 model. This is my Mizuno Wave Rider 18 running shoe review.
As a woman, I have a thing for shoes. Granted, my desire for pretty shoes are not the dress up kind… it is for fantastic fitness and running shoes. I have had a chance to run in a few of Mizuno’s shoe models the past few months. I love their Wave Kazan trail running shoes to blaze new trails with, and last year I enjoyed running in their previous model the Wave Rider 17’s.
These shoes really do run true to size. Make sure that you are properly fitted to know your size, or you might disagree with my review. Trust me, I know. Last year I was running in shoes that were a half size too small and had no clue (poor toes)… and now my feet are happier that I am running in shoes that actually fit!
Okay, where was I!? Ah yes, the Mizuno Wave Rider 18’s. The Wave Rider 18 can easily be a runner’s new favorite shoe because it hits the “sweet spot” for a variety of neutral runners with just enough support for a wide range of runners. When running, I feel the shoe hug with support around my heel. It provides support and stability while giving flexibility needed to run at a natural gait.
Mizuno adopted the inspirational influence of the Japanese concept of “ Hado” which is the intrinsic vibrational life force energy that promotes powerful transformations. Hado is executed in the Wave Rider’s sleek, dynamic design which relays the power and kinetic energy of running which harnesses the transformative possibilities in every run.
I can’t say that I have felt any special power from running in these super shoes, but I can share with all honesty, that I love running in these shoes. If you have seen my instagram post run posts… you have seen that I have been putting a lot of miles on these shoes. I am really impressed with the quality and feel of the Wave Rider 18s.
If you are looking for a neutral running shoe, you need to check out your local running store and give them a spin. Mizuno makes a great shoe and the Wave Rider 18 is another great shoe in their quality product line.

i ran my first marathon in mizunos and i still love the brand. right now i’m obsessed with my adidas glide boost – they are the most comfortable running shoes and last for about 500 miles, which saves me $$$ 🙂

Your review makes me want to go running! I haven’t tried these, but have been trying many other brands and always end up with pains – I think none of them are fitting me correctly. I look forward to trying these and hitting the treadmill.
My husband and I both have Mizuno Wave Riders – he loves his. Mine, I like – but I love my Nike’s better.

I’ve never worn Mizunos but I keep hearing a lot about them lately. People really seem to like them. I’m kind of afraid to try new shoes.
Always love trying new shoes (which I need!) My go-to though are my old Reebok sublites!
These look lovely. I really love the look of Mizuno’s (and their running gear too!!). I’ve never tried them on though. Neutral is not for me unfortunately. I need a bit of stability to keep my knees and feet happy.

I have never heard of these shows but I hear a lot about them. I’m in love with my current brand but I might give these a try one day.
I’m so tempted to try these. I used to be a Mizuno girl, but the 17s just did not work for me.
That stability is really important to help prevent injury. It’s nice to know that their shoes are still great with your newest pair!

These shoes look incredibly comfortable… too bad I’m not a runner but perhaps it’s a great workout shoe.
I haven’t ever heard of this shoe brand before. I don’t actually run, I walk – and for that I am a Skechers fan. I like something that has a bit of cushion to it, and it HAS to fit well in my heel because I am notorious for getting blisters there.
I’ve been wearing Wave Riders for a few years now! I love them!

I used to run in Mizuno Inspires and now I am Hokas. I may give Mizuno another try, I really enjoyed the fit.

I am running in Wave Creations… love them and the last model too. Glad you like your new Mizunos too. Nothing better than finding a running shoe that works with our bodies! And this one looks good too!

I just tried out the Mizuno Wave Rider 18s for the first time, and I’m impressed so far. Gonna see how they do using them in my rotation.

Those look like a great option. I am in the market for a new pair of shoes, so I’ll have to look at those. I’ve stopped buying shoes online unless it’s a brand I know really well, so I will be looking for these in stores.

I can relate to running in shoes that were too small. The same thing happened to me before a local running shoe store educated me! I prefer a neutral running show and just love the design of this pair!
