Do you have a friend or family member who loves to run? Do you need a few new gift ideas on what to give your running enthusiast? There are so many amazing fitness products on the market. I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite running items as well as a few items that are also on my Christmas wish list for 2014!
I am sure you can search the web and find many of the items I shared above on similar gift guides, however I did my best to share with you a few new-to-me items that I am sure your running enthusiast will love. If they don’t, please forward me any of the above items to my address… because I would love to receive any of these items under my tree this year!
Janji – I received a pair of Janji leggings, a shirt, and a headband to review. I was really impressed with the quality of the material as well as how comfortable it was! What I love most about Janji is that this is a running apparel company that provides clean water around the world. Each purchase provides anywhere between 3 months to 3 years worth of clean water to a person in need!! When you purchase a gift of Janji… you are also giving back to someone the gift of fresh drinking water!
GU – As an endurance runner, we pay special attention to our fuel not only before and after our long runs… but also during the run. I have run many races fueling with GU gels. My favorite is mint chocolate. Yum. They have a new product called GU brew that has shown to be a greater emphasis on hydration while maintaining a modest amount of carbs. I typically hydrate with only water during my runs, but I am excited to try this out as a post-run rehydration sports drink.
ProCompression Tights – This product is new. It is on my Christmas wish list (are you reading dear husband?). I have their leggings and I love them. I have my eye on these compression tights… yes tights! I am often sore on my hamstrings and quads, and these bad boys will be great for recovery as well as on those long runs!
ProCompression Socks – I run in their low, mid, and long socks! Ever since having that foot injury last year when training for CIM, I wear these socks to keep my feet tight (#keepittight) while running. These socks are great for recovery also!

Polar M400 GPS Sports Watch – This is on my must-have fitness gear list. I love all polar products and firmly believe they are the premier top-notch product for all fitness enthusiasts. Running and training with heart rate is key. We must listen to our heart in all situations… running is no different. I have heard amazing things about the new M400! It pretty much combines the amazing Polar Loop with the Polar RC3 GPS and oh so much more!
Ultimate Direction Women’s Ultra Vest – I purchased my running vest a few weeks ago and have gone for a few runs in it. I love it. My friend, Yvonne, did a review of this product and I knew I had to have one too. This hydration vest does not bounce and it has so many pockets for storage! I cannot speak more highly about this running vest! I will be using this as my hydration pack for the Boston Marathon in 2015!

I love all things bright & obnoxious – so those socks just jump out at me. Especially as my favorite neon socks are on their last legs. 🙂

I never knew they made low compression socks! I may need to take a look at those. One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to work my way up from walking to jogging to running, and so I’ve asked for a ‘good’ pair of running shoes. I hope Santa brings them for me 😉
