The New Year is here, and with that, many are refreshing their routines and goals to help reach their new health and fitness resolutions. Many have made goals to move more, eat healthier, drink more water, find joy, or get more sleep! Choosing to live a healthy lifestyle is a great choice… but the struggle to choose healthy choices all the time is a challenge for many.
For me, in my experience, I do an amazing job tracking my macros and staying on track from the moment I wake till around 4PM when I get home from school. For some reason, my body thinks I must eat all.the.food or I will perish. I will not.. but my will power seriously falls apart.
I shared the above photo on instagram and I got a lot of giggles from friends who were in agreement with my struggle. No, I don’t binge on fried chicken or pizza bites… but I do have my food crutches that I will not mention. The struggle to make smart healthy lifestyle choices is real!
We must make the choice to live a healthy lifestyle – daily, hourly, every minute! It is a choice worth making.
Yoplait® yogurt is here to ensure that you are staying happy and healthy – without ever sacrificing the taste. Yay for smart choices that taste good!
Now, Yoplait® is taking things to the next level. Let’s be real—Yoplait® is amazing on its own. When I was out shopping at my local Walmart, this past weekend, I spotted this 2-pack of Yoplait blueberry light yogurt with Nature Valley granola. Yum! Crunchy and sweet!
I knew I had to try it and make it my after school snack. If I knew that is what I was going to eat when I got home, while ‘encouraging’ the boys to do their homework and I make dinner, I would be more apt to stay on my plan. Fingers crossed.
Adding granola to my sweet blueberry yogurt, was just one of the countless ways I was able to 1-up my Yoplait cup. With over 125 flavors plus your imagination, you are able to create to satisfy your after-school craving! Yay!
My favorite thing to add to my yogurt is granola. There are many healthy add-ons you could use to 1-up your cup. Here are a few suggestions: fresh fruit, honey, chocolate chips, graham crackers, or cookies!
The downside of 1-upping my cup, and making “mmm” sounds is that my youngest (who is a yogurt lover) claimed one for himself. Sweet and crunchy is the perfect snack!
This has been my sweet and crunchy to-go snack afterschool the past week. While reading a never-ending amount of books, listening to them read out loud, practicing their spelling words, counting money and more… the sound of my crunching makes my tummy happy. No more hangry mama.
So, while I sit and listen to my boys read out loud for their allotted 20+ minutes (each) a night, I am enjoying a yummy fruit on the bottom yogurt with granola. Yum!
Choosing a healthy after school snack is important, to not only combat the cranky and hangry mama (and kiddos) but to also fuel their (and your) growing body and mind. Don’t be hangry, choose a smart-choice after school snack. 1-Up your yogurt with Yoplait®! For more ideas on how to 1 Up Your Cup, check out the Yoplait Pinterest board.

Just made some homemade crockpot granola the other day that would be absolutely perfect on top of some yogurt!

I like crunchy things on my yogurt so when I eat it I will often put granola or chopped nuts. It just makes it better. I probably shouldn’t have read the chocolate chips as an option but maybe just a spoonful right 🙂

I normally eat my yogurt plain, but granola is my go to when I need some crunchies.

I love eating granola on top of my yogurt. We usually do apples and peanut butter for after school snacks.
