I love Marathon Monday! The past few years I have enjoyed running the treadmill while live streaming the race. There is something magical, inspiring, and totally motivational about the Boston marathon. For me, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. The whole experience was awesome and I loved every mile!
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to do that today as I will be teaching a group of awesome 1st graders. BUT… I can relive and remember my awesome Boston marathon experience from last year. I ran 26.2 wet, windy, freezing miles laughing and talking with the lovely Jill from JillWillRun. We did not set a personal best for our marathon time, but we did form a great friendship and truly enjoyed our race from start to finish.
Today I am inspired to resume running and training. Perhaps for my next full marathon… or honestly, just to be consistent with my training again. Marathon Monday motivates me to try harder, push faster, and run further.
From one average mother runner to the next… we can do hard things. I hope you are inspired to push yourself and be inspired by the THOUSANDS of amazingly talented athletes running Boston today! Run Bold. Run Strong. Boston Strong!

I’m lucky to live in Boston and went to cheer on the runners today. They had great weather. The year I ran it, it was like a monsoon : ) So glad you enjoyed it last year–it’s an amazing experience!
