Today is the last day my parents are visiting before heading on to their vacation to Hawaii. We decided to enjoy a low key, relaxing day at the beach.
We decided to spend the morning (to mid afternoon) at Whiskeytown Beach for a picnic and fun in the sun/sand. It was a beautiful (albeit windy) day. When the sun was shining it was PERFECT!
The boys had fun playing in the sand… and even wading in the COLD water up to their hips! Burr!
TheMan channeled his inner Mountain Man and found a few hiking trails and went exploring. He found lots of driftwood that was perfect for Peyton’s stick collection, as well as an awesome hiking stick.
When the sun was shining it was BEAUTIFUL! When the clouds covered the sun it was still pretty… just a bit chilly because of the wind coming off the lake.
Nana and Papaw enjoyed entertaining the boys: feeding, digging in sand, wading in the water, and just laughing at their crazy shenanigans.
I (Rachel) was there – just a little proof since I am always behind the camera.
The boys (Peyton, TheMan, and Tristen) were wiped after a fun filled morning at the beach. They enjoyed a little down/rest time to recharge their batteries.
We ended the fun filled week’s adventure with pizza and a movie. We rented the movie Tangled, and ate pizza in the living room. Such a CUTE movie to end such a special memory making trip with Nana and Papaw.
