My parents left shortly after breakfast to fly (and enjoy a week in) to Hawaii. As expected, the boys were needy and reverted to some crazy/cranky behavior.
We spent the majority of the morning trying to regroup and entertain the boys: trucks, coloring, FEEDING, all while cleaning and planning our day.
Funny how when the children are entertained and well behaved, my desire to run (away) is less. Yet, the moment life goes back to normal… I wanted to get away and RUN!
So I did… I ran hard, fast, and somewhat far:
Fitness: Upon returning home, I hid in the garage and busted out my Week 3 Day 2 Strength Challenges (a few days behind due to family visiting this week):
(Bar) Push-Ups | 14 – 19 – 14 – 14 – 19 |
Squats | 27 – 34 – 21 – 21 – 34 |
(Stationary) Lunges | 20 – 20 – 20 – 20 – 20 |
Sit-Ups (door trainer) | 30 – 38 – 23 – 23 – 38 |
Faith: My small group is starting a new study, Made to Crave, and I am LOVING every word that Lysa has to share! I have been aware that I need to get my physical cravings under control (not necessarily and only food – but also spending, anger, online, impulses, etc) and this is just the study that I am craving.
Through the next few weeks, I will be learning to crave GOD instead of other distractions.
My word of focus for the week is: EMPOWERED
My verse to really chew on is: 1 Peter 2:11 “Dear friends, I urge you… to abstain from sinful desires, which [wage] war against your soul.”

I love how you have things laid out on here! Seems so easy to track and maintain and remember!
