The past few weeks, I have been battling sickness and more recently plantar fasciitis heel pain. I have not adequately trained for my half marathon which is next weekend. But I am confident that I will be able to finish the race as well as do my best.
Yesterday, I decided to test my feet (because they have been causing me pain and discomfort) for a nice and easy long run. I had 10 miles on my training plan, but only ended up running 7.
My feet, legs, heart and lungs felt strong and in control. I could have continued the extra 3 miles… had I left the house a little earlier. Our family activities for the day prevented me to continue running. I did end up walking around the pumpkin festival for 3 miles… so technically I did cover 10 miles on Saturday.
Bring on next weekend for the big HILLY race weekend! I am super excited to experience and run the Nike Women’s half Marathon!

I get plantar faceitis too and it sucks. I grin and bear it when I have to. You can too…best of luck in the race! I think a Nike Womens Half would be awesome!
