These last few days will be all about running the Nike Women’s Marathon, because well… I am super excited! Yesterday I shared with you my newest fitgear that I will be wearing while I run the race.
Today I am loading up my iPod and am realizing that I am sorely lacking on fun, new, pump-me-up tunes!
I love music with a good beat, fun uplifting lyrics (not really an explicit type girl), and just an all around fun vibe.
Some of my favorite songs on my play list are:
-
LMFAO – Sexy and I Know It
-
The Black Eyed Peas – I got a feeling
-
Maroon 5 – Moves Like Jagger
-
Outkast – Hey Ya
-
The Black Eyed Peas – Boom Boom Pow
-
Eye of the Tiger
-
Press Play – NY2LA
-
Brittany Spears – 3 (One, Two, Three)
-
The Black Eyed Peas – Pump It
-
2 Live Crew – Tootsie Roll
Okay, there is a lot of hip hop on that top ten list… but it has a great beat and is fun for when you need that extra push #BeyondTheWall while racing.
I am needing to find and fill my play list for over two hours of fun songs. Yet, I am struggling to find new and fun music that will uplift, encourage, and help me this weekend.

“Call Me Maybe” – I’m a 12-yr-old girl at heart 🙂 And for a little oldschool throwback, “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child!

Good luck, you will do awesome! The website http://www.rockmyrun.com has a great variety of playlists I use frequently. I also embarrassingly can find a good rhythm to Pitbull, and DJ Tiesto….

4 of those are on my favorite running playlist as well! I definitely need to start working on a new list for the RWHalf!

You can’t beat “Gonna Fly Now” from Rocky. Classic.

On my list too I will probably have all those, and maybe the full albums of the Black Eyed Peas. Awesome songs!

I also second rock my run. However if there is a song in the mix that you don’t like you can’t skip it because the mix is one big track. I love to run to Lecrae and TobyMac. Really upbeat and GREAT lyrics!
