I am not Super Woman… yet I am the lucky mama to three super heroes. Does that make me Wonder Woman?
My life is full of life, adventure, and movement. My three super heroes thrive on movement and need to get their wiggles out. We homeschool and we use our gymboss as part of our lesson rotation as well as P.E.. My super heroes need to work on their super hero skills too.
Today I am going to share with you my review (and scroll down for a giveaway) of the gymboss. I am also going to share with you our super hero friendly (kid friendly) Super Hero Workout!
I received a gymboss to review and share my opinions with you. Many of my friends (online and at the gym) use this device to help them with their workouts. I have always been intrigued and curious. Now I have one and use mine almost daily.
The gymboss is pretty easy to set up, once you figure out what buttons START and SET the programs.
You set the time you WORK and REST (or the intervals). You also set the number of reps (or times) you do that interval. You can set the alert to vibration, quiet alert or LOUD alert. Whatever you fancy and will alert you to change things up.
You can use the gymboss for running. This would be perfect if you are doing a run/walk style training. This is also great if you are doing a couch to 5k (or Bridge to 10K) style program.
For homeschool, I use this as a way to keep the boys (and me) on track with WORK and PLAY intervals. Each interval can be set up to 99 minutes (that is a lot of time for work or play).
The boys have been in full wiggle mode the past few weeks. I decided to take them to the park, full on super hero costume and all, for a special P.E. workout. These super heroes needed to practice their super hero skills. Mama just needed some giggles and a chance of scenery.
Super Hero Workout – Kid Friendly Workout
It was a warm morning, so I wasn’t going to work the monkeys super heroes too hard. I had the gymboss set to work for 30 seconds and rest for 10 seconds… for a total of 7 minutes.
The boys needed to work on their super hero skills. They were going to work on their speed, punching, kicking, jumping, push-ups, sit-ups, and more. The drop is their rest… they have to have quick reflexes to dodge those bad guys.
These super heroes were a giggly, sweaty, tired mess at the end of the 7 minutes. They looked forward to the DROP when Mama called it out. They were working hard!
You can enjoy the super hero workout… or use it for running, learning to run, homeschool lessons, HIIT (high intensity interval training), WOD’s, or more! Fill out the form below for your chance to win your OWN GYMBoss Trainer!

The costumes would really make it for my kids. They would love to dress up & act out their favorite heroes moves. The silver lining is they’d totally be unaware that they were exercising.

How creative! My kids would definitely have a ton of fun with this type of workout and the Gymboss looks especially great.

WOW, that is an amazing idea. My husband and I have only tried this once with our kids and they have already loved it! They get so active, energetic and they are working out too. It helps both the parents, since the kids are more quiet and obedient after a strong workout, but it also pleases the children! My kids consider it as playtime so if you ask me, this is a win for all of us. Thank you for the great post!
